Labels—especially when referring to our bodies—matter. “Curvy” is a euphemism, because all bodies contain curves. “Full-figured” sounds like something a nice Southern granny would say, with a knowing look. “Chubby” is for babies; “husky” is for lumberjacks. “Fat” is just nasty.
