Ian McPhee

Ian McPhee is the Vice President of Access & Referral Development for Refresh Mental Health.

Prior to joining Refresh, Ian served as Director of Regional Clinical Outreach for a national behavioral healthcare company. Ian’s career in healthcare spans over 19 years and includes leadership in the behavioral health space, as well as clinically at the bedside in a variety of settings, including pre-hospital emergency medical services, emergency & trauma resuscitation departments, and cardiothoracic anesthesia technology.

Advocacy is one of Ian’s passions, particularly issues pertaining to access to affirmed care within the LGBTQI+ community. He has served as a volunteer HIV counselor for many years, providing testing, education, and advocacy for those living with HIV.

Ian is thrilled to work alongside some amazing humans at Refresh. He enjoys collaboration and building meaningful connections with his team, as they work together and continuously assess the best ways to serve our clients and their families from initial contact until their first appointment.

Ian resides in Milwaukee, WI, and in his personal time, he enjoys time with his chosen family, international travel, anything by Brené Brown, and all things outdoors.
