Chelsea Humphrey is the Vice President of Operations of the West Region for Refresh Mental Health. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in working with couples, families and individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. She has expertise in providing trauma-informed, culturally and linguistically competent care for Spanish speakers, and has helped clinical practices grow in their provision of services that are inclusive and culturally sensitive. Chelsea has also treated anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, self-esteem and substance use issues through a person-centered and strength-based approach. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at Tufts University and was a fellowship recipient to receive her Master’s Degree at the University of Connecticut.
At a leadership level, Chelsea is skilled at team building and development of growth initiatives in the private and non-profit sectors, and has been involved in state-wide collaboratives to facilitate access to services and promote quality care. She has led federal grant initiatives to support mental healthcare and wrap-around services for vulnerable populations and contributed to research to advance the field. Chelsea has presented, trained and consulted in numerous areas including multi-cultural care, substance use and mental healthcare and leadership development. Chelsea is dedicated to promoting clinical and organizational success through professional growth, practice development and operations support for the practices she oversees.
